Rotring Artpen
The Rotring Artpen line is available with a wide variety of nibs. These pens are perfect for sketching your latest masterpiece, creating beautiful calligraphy or just letter writing in general.
The art pen nibs are made of stainless steel and the ink is provided via disposable cartridges. Rotring also makes a handy converter for using bottled ink with your Artpen. This converter will fit inside the Artpen and allows you to refill the pen with bottled ink. There are eight varieties of nibs available from 1.1mm to 2.3mm. There are broad, fine, extra fine and medium nibs for all your artistic endeavors.
The Artpens fit easily in your hand. The barrel near the nib is slightly narrower and ribbed for a comfort fit while writing or drawing. The barrel is thicker around the middle and then tapers off away from the nib much like an artist’s paintbrush. The cap of the Rotring Artpen protects the nib and has an easily identifiable number on the cap so that you know at a glance exactly what size nib you have available under the cap.
The Artpens can be purchased individually or as a calligraphy set. It has been a popular art pen amongst artists and calligraphers for many years. Like many calligraphy pens, the Artpen can produce lines of varying width just by adjusting the amount of pressure and weight you place on the nib and drawing surface.
